I thought i might hear from the professionals on this subject . I have seen them a time or 2 in the mouths of crappie . Whatever they are i should say , they remind me of leaches . So what say the crew ? Is it a fresh water leach on the roof of its mouth ?
Or something much more sinister ....

Fish lice/louse often attach in the mouth. Also glochidia (larval mussel) can attach their too, although they prefer the gills. Both tend to be transparent. It could be a leech. Nature is fascinating.

Wading in creek as a kid I got one on my leg one day, and it freaked me out. My Dad laughed and pulled it off. It is "leech" by the way.
