I'm pretty sure I have caught 19 of those but I'm old and don't have the best memory
Now I have to even question myself about whether I caught a White Perch or not. Chances are good that I have and I never even knew it. They are an invasive species to the area's in purple, and found in Michigan since 1977. When I first looked it up I seen that it was native to the East coast so I thought there was no way I could have caught one. All the areas around Lake Michigan is where I grew up fishing, the Michigan side, and the Wisconsin side to be specific, so who knows, maybe I have caught all 25 of those species. I can add to the list too (of freshwater fish that I've caught), Coho, Chinook (King Salmon), Brown Trout, Gar, Bowfin, Warmouth, Armored Catfish, Paddlefish, Tilapia, couple other catfish species....but some of those are invasive and prolly should not count.

16 of them. None from the row starting with Lake trout and only the Largemouth bass on the next row. Everything else except the Steelhead version of the Rainbow trout, and possibly a Rock bass. I've very likely caught a Rock bass, but I don't have a distinct memory of it, or didn't know what it was if I did.
17 is the lucky number
And a musky is a bucket list fish one day
Only 16, but also 4 species of trout not listed for freshwater.
