very nice fish
My friend and I went out again last night and wore them out pretty good. We pulled up to a waypoint I had stored and started working large underspins, they wised up to that pretty quickly, so we switched to the crappie jigs and proved that more fish were below. With 28 fish released, that gets me to slightly over 800 on the year, with half a year to go! My yearly goal is 1000 and I now feel confident. Now I just need to find that 18" fish. Nice fish! Sounds like you have had a lot of fun and time on the water. Good luck on finding that 18" crappie...will be anxious to see a picture of it! Caught a 17" this spring, but that is the biggest I have caught. I'm sure they are out there.
Yes I have spent a lot of time out there and feel blessed to have done so many trips. I almost always do chores during the day and go out from 5:30 until dark. Great way to spend retirement; I am really enjoying it. Yes I am pretty sure that they are out there, my neighbor fished the lake commercially and said they are. My son caught this one a few years ago about 200yrds from where we caught them last night.

That’s awesome Noodle Rod! This is the first year I’ve keep any data per month and I’m 491 crappie so far. Don’t have goal just wanted to see how many came over the gun rail. Tight lines and keep us posted on the goal count.
