    Default New Trolling setups

I've been trolling a few times over the last month. It's been a great time and I've had success, but the equipment I was using wasn't ideal.

I did some research and decided to go with the following:
    Daiwa Lexa LC100H Reels
St. Croix PC70MM Medium 7' Rods(These are a discontinued model)
15 lb Power Pro in various colors to help with tangles

I'll be running mainly Bandit 300s and use the Precision Trolling app to set my depth.

I calibrated the reels to be spot on at 100' and hope to get them out this weekend.

I had the Avid MM rods (they were listed for crankbaits). I didn't care for the moderate action for bass fishing. I like an extra fast tip for bass, but that's just me. St Croix makes good rods.

These will be used for trolling, not bass fishing.

Retail is $130 on them, but you can find deals if you look around.

looks like a solid setup, if youre running on the wrong end of the boat. pick up a set of 14-16s and push them instead.

Shakespeare ATS reels and Shimano FX rods make for a good budget setup too.

I took the new setups to Lake of the Ozarks Saturday morning. I caught several Crappie and this White Bass.

It weighed 2 lbs 1 oz. and measured 16 1/2" and is large enough for the Master Angler Award here in Missouri.
