After I retired my Strike King Bill Dance sunglasses, on a recommendation from a thread on here, bought some Hawaiian Lenses. They are the polarized Hammers style with readers. Very nice fit for $48. Definitely not a Costa price but they work well for me all day on the water.

Had a pair that took me an hour to find test fitting at the store, I am picky on how my sunglasses fit!! Did I mention I had them for 2 whole days until I jumped of the tritoon at the rock quarry with a lifevest between my legs and still had my cap on. I even had the neck strap on!!!
Still mad over the ordeal and havent spent the money again!! Wearing my $3 safety glasses I get from work.

Polycarbonate Costas, the rubber nose pads have crumpled to pieces. Warranty won't cover it and there is no direct replacement piece to buy for it. My next pair will be something else. Leaning hard to Smith right now.

I have a pair of Wiley x that I really like. Wind block inserts I have had to replace once but 20 bucks.

i have several pairs of YUM polarized glasses 4.99 each . I am not sure about other preferences on shades but to be sure these perform quite well and if a pair gets gone somehow I just grab another and sweat not a bit over it .
When some schmuck got my Maui Jims off my truck hood one day at a boat ramp a few years ago I was fairly hot over it . Several guys were around the truck and boat and only one I knew , the rest where some hang around buds of his . I placed them on the hood of the truck to show them something in my boat and when they dispersed ….as they say ...POOF they were gone !
Before that episode I had a few nice pairs of shades but always sweated losing them or breaking them or sending them in for warranty work and so on and so forth ,,,,not any more for me ….
    my 3 cents

I need sunglasses with bifocals so what would be an economical choice for a decent pair?

Costa is not the brand it was years ago. Part of luxottica co now and for many years. No longer made in Daytona Beach, just warranty service is done there, watch this video, pretty arrogant sob

the Cay Sals wrap more than the pic shows, I get no sun wash from behind with them.

wow he is arrogant and he has created a monopoly ….no wonder sunglasses that are worth MAYBE 40 bucks or so cost 200 to 400 …
my daddy always said something similar to what he said ….something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it....
hopefully YUM don't sell out to him is my thoughts ….

I just use Wally World clip-ons for $8. They work for me and I can flip them up or down depending on the sunlight. I have prescription sunglasses but like the clip-ons better for changing conditions. If you lose them, no big deal. I like the bronze tint better than the gray ones. Worth a cheap try.
