    Default Read the signs

Got out this am on 79 at goosepond. 1st time out before daylight since February. Got on the water about 4:30 using minnows till sun up. I didnt get a bite. Once the sun came up I started throwing 2 1/32 jigs. A blk/ chart tube and a bg blue and green. Caught a stripe, then first keeper crappie on the bg. The wind was coming out the south and they were pulling water from the north. The wind was pushing hard so I went to a 1/16 oz jig head with the blue and green bg. I would either get hung on a rock or miss a bite. The fish were up against the bank. After a couple minutes it clicked, 1/16 was to heavy. So I went down to a 1/24 lite wire. I found the solution. I began casting the 1/24th out counting down a little and letting the current carry the jig. Slabmatics, it's on. I had to be at work at 9 so I left at 7:45, with the fish still biting. Ended up with 15, several 12 inches or better.

When your on the water paying attention to detail can change your catch ratio. Small adjustments, watch the signs.

Bg albino, cajun cricket and the blue and green. I cannot think of the name, and indigo sky was the color of choice. Ended up being 3hrs well spent.

Hope everyone is well and being smart covid is real!
