    i painted an entire 57 chevy pick up back in the day with Rustoleum …..got a lot of compliments on it and it held up well .

    Thanks all ! What sparked me, was , looking on Evinrude G2's site (which I just read are being discontinued, and the etecs). Playing with their color schemes.
    When I saw them on boats, it looked like an extension of the boat.
    I know, I know, this is a COMPLETELY different looking engine. The concept however, the same.

    I have done this several times. If you do a really good job on the surface it will look good for some time but will not last but a few years in the sun. All this depends on how good you want it to look and last. You can get factory spray cans of original colors and decals on ebay or outboard websites if you want. Good Luck...
