Default Who knew silicone spray would do so well with braid !

I had a thought this morning after struggling yesterday to cast light lures the maximum distance tied to braid. Spincast and spinning reels are always in the boat and pockets in pads and along weedlines the targets, sometimes at distances over 35'. After spraying the spools of both type reels along with the rod guides, I found not only very smooth casts but a noticeable increase in distance using a 1/32 oz jig + plastic weight. I have a feeling less messes inherent with braid will be avoided more often than not.

Wow! you got gotta try it!

I have used Blakemores Reel Magic for years.....good stuff....its made to spray your line...reel...and rod. Also works good on trolling motor shafts and boat seat swivels.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

What brand do you use for that? Sounds like a great idea.

I've been using it on my line, reels and rods... and love it. Appreciate the tip on trolling motor shafts and swivel seats... I'm definitely going to try it.

Been doin this for years. really makes it super easy to load and unload. WORD OF WARNING!! do not unhook boat from trailer until your trailer is in the water. A steep ramp will have you launching on dry pavement..

Cheapest you can find is what I used. Haven't applied it to my current trailer yet. I keep forgetting. As said above, DO NOT release your bow strap till you get the rear of the trailer in the water.
