Thumbs down Leland lures - Crappie bites

I ordered some crappie bites from Leland and they were great. I got a second order and they were not good. The first order was as advertised- stay on hook better and firm. The second order came and they are not the same, they are super soft and will not stay on hook. I tried to contact them and they have no way to get touch with them, only a voice mail. I am so sad. Anybody else had this problem??

That's the reason God invented Crappie Nibbles and Slab Sauce ;-)

A problem getting in touch with Leland’s Lures or problems with Crappie Bites? As far as I know they are open for business. Have you tried an email? They are as good a stand up business that there is out there. I have 6 bottles of those that I will give away sooner or later on my channel. I quit using any type of crappie nibble years ago and ever since my first encounter with garlic spray sauce when fishing for smallmouth using the Float’N Fly method I gave up on sprays....too messy for me. I started making my own attractant bites out of Berkley Power Wigglers. I cut them into tiny pieces and they will stay on a hook far better than any crappie nibble made. Many times catching several fish off the same piece. Do they catch fish? Well I catch about 2000 crappie a year using them so I have no complaints.

    Regards

+1 on Leland. In my buying experiences, Jeff Smith runs a stand up business. I did notice on his site that there wasn’t a valid email listed. (At least on a quick look) I don’t know if that is new, but I would certainly call and there is a mailing address included. Also, if you still have his shipping label or saved his email confirmation to you there should be an email. All that said, I do think you will get satisfaction. Please keep us up to date.

If you call the number, you get a voice mail- saying to go to [email protected] or something like that, so I did, there was no e-mail listed. I just want them to know about the problem. That's all, I am not trying to bash them. I use a lot of their products.
I do use "slab sauce", got 5 bottles in a couple of months ago.
