Just out of curiousity, everyone is talking about body colors. Do the jig heads REALLY stay horizontal in the water column (once a body is added)? Also, are y'all using the trout magnet style jig heads or the crappie heads?

Yeah, but so do all the other jigs I use. This feature is not unique to the TM.

I often use the 1/64 oz TM head but use a generic 1/32 oz head.

I have all the colors made...or close to it. But when I am in my boat chasing everything except trout there will only be a few colors in there...Bison is at the top of that list...then Sow Bug.....Bulldog.....black. Boated over 150 Gills yesterday using Bison and Sow Bug....had some bonus crappie and a largemouth in the mix too. Sow Bug is an excellent color for crappie. The link says Purple Redemption but it takes you to Sow Bug.

They definitely work on rainbow trout. For lakers, you might try the crappie magnet, which is a bigger version of the TM.

If the kits contain colors you would normally use, go for it. If not, buy individually.

I usually don't go for kits since they come with colors I don't typically use.

as soon as I posted it I thought to myself, that's a dumb question. all kits come with some of what you want and the rest of what they can't get rid off.

    Sorry for being dumb...

I like the Bison, Sowbug, Bulldog and after a limit of crappie yesterday I really like the Black/green. Bream and crappie love these things. Oh I was using a 1/32 jighead with a # 6 hook.
