I caught lots more fish before livescope. I find myself enthralled in the screen now and or the behaviors of other fish. In a nutshell, I spend more time looking at screens then I ever did actually fishing. It's cool technology and very rewarding and sure it's a game changer. At what cost though? I'm one with mixed issues on the subject. I will learn it and figure it all out I'm guessing, just guessing I hope I don't cross the threshold and equate catching with the enjoyment of just fishing for them.

I am on the fence, will have to if I want to continue to tournament fish but really don't like it. I have spent about 50hrs using it on a partner's boat and it is without a doubt the biggest development in crappie fishing ever. Literally nothing comes close to it. But in my opinion it takes most of the skill out of fishing and will eventually take a toll on our fisheries. I know people will take offense to that and say I am jealous, can't afford it, or don't understand it, blah, blah. But none of those are true in my case. Pre Livescope you really had to have some knowledge at times to find fish. With Livescope with the exception of a few situations where they can still hide a little, you just have to put it in the water and find them. You can call it what you want to and no doubt its fun, but it isn't really fishing. Not much different than calling hunting deer with a crossbow bowhunting.
But even if I decide to get one for tournament fishing despite my reservations about the ethics of it, they are going to have to straighten out the issues they created with the Perspective update before I come off the cash to buy it. I would be really upset if I was like a lot of these guys out $2-4000 and have the trouble they are having now.

Yesterday my son and i fished the same lake .him in his boat and me in mine he used live scope and i used my $20. hummingbird ,he caught 9 and i caught 18 and he fished an hour longer then i. He is all around better fisherman then me. So i don't think i want one. maybe just a fluke but we will see if it happens again.
One of the reasons I go fishing is to get away from staring at a screen.
Not interested in Livescope.
No livescope, maybe livesight someday...

I fished a local lake with several boats around coming and then going . One old timer fished the lake since it was built zeroed , another old timer Spider rigged and caught 2 . I caught a bunch with biggest 13 over 2 lbs and biggest 7 was 15.98 lbs ! It works too good for the fish .

Deer, turkey, squirrels, or fish, I am out there trying to beat mother nature at her game and in her back yard. I can buy fish. I don't look down on anyone
using Live Scope if it is a method of fishing that they enjoy, I'm not worried about all the fish disappearing because of it. This what our Fish & Game
departments are for. If I were a guide or tournament fisherman I would have to have one or be left behind. I lived and breathed turkey hunting for 30
years and quit when it got easy and my stomach quit getting wheezy and knees getting weak. I still go and watch them once in a while. Sit and watch
and go over hunts of the past. Fish on, any legal way you want to. I'll be out there.
Tell'em I'll be there.
