Personally, i love the livescope. I caught a lot fish before livescope and catch a lot with livescope but i do catch fish now that i wouldnt have before livescope. It could make an impact on fisheries IF people have the mind set that they got to keep every legal fish they catch. When i go fishing i dont go to get away from anything or to just get on the water. I go to catch as many fish as i can or testing new colors or styles of jigs..but 99.9% of the fish i catch are released back in.

    Default Live scope question

I’ve had it about a year and a half.
    It’s taught me a lot!!!!!!
I have laughed more having livescope and watching the fish, than should be legal.

I am catching less fish than I did before livescope.
That is my choice, now it’s like deer hunting.
    Is it big enough?
Do I want to chase it?
Doesn’t mean it will bite, necessarily.

I prefer to keep fish in the 10-12” range for personal eating or giving away.

I like watching the 2# or bigger swim away.

It is just really neat! Remember though I am a 5 year old at heart, and easily entertained.

On my home lake, if you get to close or mess up, they will leave the country!
That’s because my home lake is fairly clear.

I do not have one and most likely will not . Like we have discussed many times " a limit is a limit " . No matter how long it takes , what method you use , as long as it's legal ,do it if it makes you happy .

Unless you already have two Lowrance up front your going to have to add another unit anyway even if Lowrance figures it out. Even splitting a 12" screen doesn't do the technology justice. Imo the only way to go is at least a dedicated 9" preferably a 10-12" unit for scoping.

That really doesn't hold water though, the limits are based on catch rates of the past. People can say whatever they want, but as Livescope becomes more widespread the percentage of anglers catching limits will dramatically increase. If people can't see that now they aren't looking in the right places. I have never been one to worry about pole limits for spider rigging or trolling because they really aren't the threat Livescope is, especially to big fish.

The dept. of wildlife, fisheries and parks are not in the dark as to how to best regulate our lakes . You are right , may be headed for 5 per day limits , one/two rods , higher price license , permits for special equipment, ect. Whatever they do I will obey the law , but be assure our everyday outlaws will have a more negative impact than those following the law .

I am not bashing, the original poster asked people's thoughts on it and I bit. It is one of the neatest things I have ever seen. I am just not sure its good for fishing and personally am very conflicted about it. I really enjoyed tournament fishing before it became popular and now if I want to continue I am forced to use a tool that I think is maybe too much and removes skills that were necessary before. Didn't mean to ruffle your feathers.
