Big crappie fish are tough to come while bank fishing and even tougher to get landed when you do hook into one.....

boy howdy brother does that sum it up or what , just to find one and then to get it to bite is a needle in a haystack .
then add in an area that's WAY overfished and under constant year round pressure .
not to mention off the bank ,,,,,its why I do it my friend ,,,,
the challenge for me is to find and ketch them off the bank using the minimum amount of equipment .
its the reason I go over and over and over .
to chase bank crappie and ketch them makes my heart skip a beat
to ketch a few nice ones makes my face all smiles
but to land one like that one makes me just about 5 years old in a free candy store bro

Makes it worse when you see them. I have many that I remember for many years now. Good fish in the pic though.

yes sir a 1.5 or so in the river is a really good fish . but to see one close up about a lb heavier and knowing that's larger than the river record makes for a memory and a really good fishee story ….
Sk had a fish on top in another section of river a couple years ago ,that got off at arms length too and he will tell you this about that …...would have had it mounted were his exact words
