If they have the rain gear I want I get it from REI. The reason I do that is they sell great gear....and if you wear it for up to a year and don’t like it....it leaks...any reason......take it back and get a full refund. I mean you could wear it everyday....bring it back muddy...any condition within that year and they ask no questions. They just give you your money back. I buy all my footwear there and many times after months of wearing some boots...shoes....and I decide I don’t like how they feel....back they go.

    Regards

I’ve had great luck *so far* out of the Frogg Toggs Pilot Pro rain suit. Got lucky and caught it on sale at Academy for ~50% off. Got both the bibs and the jacket for $160 IIRC

that sounds like a mile away from the $20 frogg toggs ive used, which are hot garbage. sometimes leaky, always sweaty.

unfortunately they dont appear to be 50% off anywhere and im not trying to spend $300 on rain gear right now.

I played the “cheap” rain suit game for several years. Tried several different options. None kept me dry and was left with what would have been a good chunk of money wasted that could have been put towards a reliable set of gear. Completely understand the not wanting to spend that much on rain gear though, it was tough for me to swallow as well. Buy once cry once seems pretty fitting here, though.

+1 on the Frogg Togg Pilot wear. I only have the jacket. I think I paid about $50 for it on Amazon. Just kept looking daily till I found the price/color/ size I wanted.

I have Bass Pro 100's and Frog Toggs. The former are pretty hot. Hard to beat Frogg Toggs unless it is very cold. IMHO
