Default When and why two jigs

I use two jigs when pulling. Have a love and hate relationship when using two jigs when casting or jigging, never use two jigs close to brush. What do you think?

Also when do you use the drop shot double hook system?

I only cast, no trolling. The only time I would cast two jigs would be if both were very light (1/64 or 1/80.)

Once upon a time I used two jigs with the drop shot method. The lower jig tied 12-14” above the weight, upper jig 8-10 above the lower jig.If memory serves me,I caught many more fish on the lower jig,I don’t believe I ever doubled, but once caught a fish with both jigs in its mouth.
I only used double jigs in open water, often while anchored

when over brush I'd rather have one jig and move it up and down to find where they are holding. JMHO

I double up when I'm fishing bridges. Usually two different sizes and two different colors, until I get um dialed in...

I use two jigs when casting with bobbers rig sometimes. I use 1/32oz top and 1/32-1/16oz bottom. I got bite on both jig. I use surgeon loop knot plus dropper loop.

all kidding around aside , 2 jigs sometimes helps by covering more water column and adding additional weight to your presentation .
and it may even promote bites in that it possibly resembles a small amount of bait lost from the main school and looking vulnerable?

Watch Steve Comilander video on U tube and you'll change your mind on 2 jigs. He fished 3 and I've seen him more than once land 2 or 3 crappie, perch Striper, and LM Bass.I
Saw 2 5# bass at once.
I fish same lake, know him well, seen him do it live.
