Fishing a local utility lake that closes at 5 PM; I mean you have to be out of the gate and gone by 5. I found 'em today - bedding bluegills - around 4:20 , right before I had to quit, dang it. Hope they are there tomorrow - I know I will be. Wind or no wind.

I chase them all the time.....as you know. But with lake temps at 59 degrees they are still hiding out. Plus...those dang crappie keep getting in the way.....LOL. Going Wednesday hoping to find some activity in the lake. My hot spot below the dam is not fishable now....way too much water coming out to put in there. Here’s hoping.

    Regards

    Nice catches!

For sure. Caught about 100 or so in the last week fishing from the bank.

Went after gills April 15th - caught a few 5 and 6" and one healthy 7.5" that was fun. Forecast looks good and the water temps are rising - bout time!!Name: 20200415_163153.jpg

crappie about to hit the banks so BG's will be an afterthought for a while till it's their time to go nighty night and hit the beds. Just got permission to fish a small lake that has some big gills and looking forward to it! NOTHING like dipping a lil spider jig into a bed of big males!!
