    Default crappie master and PB

I got a request from local fishing forum to visit. He fish for crappie since he was a kid. I said why not to meet a true crappie angler and learn a few tricks from him, after all Im just a self taught from reading and watching you tube.
Turn out I don’t know how to cast with spinning reel. He showed me how to cast light lure with truly loaded rod instead of me whipping halfway. He also showed me how to setup his light above water. He is a real deal, I’m glad to learn from someone who know, way better than interweb.
All in all, we had a blast. My first cast I got a 4lb catfish, then a bird lol. Finally he caught a 15-16” from 18 FOW and I started getting a few crappie from bottom. Once it dark enough, he setup his modified lantern light, and I with my usual lighted bobbers. We caught about 50, most of his all within 5’ of light. I tried a few times with no luck but get about 1lb bass instead. I manage to get my new PB @2.5lb on my bobbers setup. Man I love my lake and I love crappie fishing. We released all big and small crappie, he only kept a few of 11”.
