Default The Stick goes to Talquin

Well a few buddies and I just got back from Lake Talquin after a 5 day trip. We caught a decent amount of fish with the biggest being 2lb. Didn’t use any minnows, main thing was 1/32oz head with blue ice or key lime pie color and Slabsauce. Best day we got 26.

Before I went on this trip I was curious about the new BnM STICK jigging rod because I have Livescope and it’s a 13’ rod and I could get a little further from the boat with it. The thing is amazing! Tons of backbone with a light tip and you could boat flip a cinder block into the boat with it. The rod is a little on the pricey side but I believe it will last a loooooong time. I fish a lot of thick nasty brush in NW FL on the escambia river and I’m always worried about tearing rods up, but not this one.

The crappie on Talquin have me scratching my head. There are some in the Lilly pads and close to the bank but the eggs I got out of them are far from being ready. The water temp was a solid 73-75 degrees each day. The bluegill are even spawning before the crappie on that lake. As far as the BnM STICK goes it gets my approval. Not sure if it’s up on their website yet but you can email them and order like that or Grizzlyjig.com has them.

I bought one of these 2-3 weeks back and agree 100%. It is just perfect for picking them off one at a time with Livescope.
