I will add to my previous post by saying that we all know how tough Karma is to deal with. I like my Karma better.
To me that makes the cops as guilty as the thieves!!! A little better than a year ago someone stole a neighbors truck. Broke in it, rolled it down to the bottom of the hill. Now get this, His Battery was dead as a door nail. So they came up our side of the loop, broke the wind wing on my truck, stole my battery for his truck, and proceeded to take his truck. I thank the lord they only took my battery, but that cost me a hundred dollars to replace at I time when it really wasn't available. There's no telling what goes through a thieves mind as to why they do things they do...
I just have no real use for a thief. As others mentioned...at some point, they will be regretting their chosen way of life. If it is something they really need for their family, or what have you, ask me, and odds are I’ll give it to you. Most of the time though, much of the loot goes to feed a drug habit of some sort.

Many of these guys are confidential informants and work for the local police departments. I know of several informants, AKA Snitches, and they are low life human beings...It's mind-boggling to be honest.
You must remember that these people have been busted many, many times in their lives, and the police eventually turn them into CI's. These are your losers across this country and there's thousands of them.
That is sad we have to even worry about this. I now have to take all my graph screens off of the boat each night when on trips. And never even use to think about having to do that. Sad world we are living in.
I have boat bag that I use when leaving my boat overnight. It holds my graphs and tackle when I am away from my boat. My rods and reels are also removed and are placed in the truck. It takes a extra 5 minutes to pack up your stuff when not in use. I hate thieves and liars with a passion.
Isn't it (both) ironic and amazing just how hard a thief will work to avoid working for a living??
I have always prayed to the Lord that I never catch a thief stealing anything from anyone.

Strange things happen to known theives,I read in a book one time that three known thieves were found beaten to a bloody mass and left on the side of the road..The crime rate in that small town dropped 70% over night...Strange???

I've always been curious how a discussion about thieves ends up with negative statements about police officers. I worked as a property crimes/auto theft detective for a 2,000 officer police department for ten years (32 and counting total). I've had many, many informants throughout the years and yes, some of their crimes would be forgiven if they ponied up information on a larger crime. But, we NEVER let a theft slide by if there was an identifiable victim, without approval of the victim and a full recovery of the stolen property. The public's perception of a "confidential informant" and how they are worked by police officers is usually nowhere near the truth of the matter. Most are drug users because when I arrest a person on a drug crime, I can use that person as a CI because they didn't victimize a citizen. If a citizen was victimized, the chances of trading a lesser charge for information is almost nonexistent.
I'm sure some police departments handle things differently than we do though.
Anyway, just thought I'd throw my two cents out there.
