On the bright side....just think about how good a spawn your going to have now and how much better the fishing will be next year.

I know I had monkey meat on a stick in southeast asia, may have had a bat on the stick too, but, it was cooked.

Yeah, but the "adult beverages" you washed them down with would have killed any germs/viruses associated with those culinary delights.

Well it’s certainly not as relaxing as before. I fish by myself.....and really I prefer to fish that way. Our waters are still open for fishing and I have been 3 times in the last 5 days....and I’m killing the crappie.....and everything else. But there is a certain unease about it. I haven’t been close to anyone during those 3 trips.....one of the days a boat did fish above me but he had to be at least 100 yards away. It has most assuredly changed the mood.

    Regards

I was really bummed last week when I heard Jordan Lake was closed... I was just starting to dial into the crappie. After two days of moping around the house, I took my kids out to a private pond and they ran around for a few hours and reeled in a bunch of small bass that I caught. I tell you that trip made me feel a whole lot better.

I enjoy the company of others at a party or cookout, but I think I’ve always been kind of a loner and fishing has always been a kind of natural therapy. Whenever things get crazy at home or work, getting out on the water has always made me feel better. Maybe it’s the simplicity in the task. At it’s most basic, it’s just you, a pole with a line, hook, and bait. While catching a fish is what we all want to do, sometimes we need just need to be outside, enjoying sunshine and nature, and to be reminded of life’s simpler pleasures.
