I've been out 4 out of the past 5 days & if it's not raining in the am it will be 5 out of 6. I fish buy myself most days regardless. Always did.

Just makes me want to go fishing even more. I am working from home trying to keep the business alive, and watching my 6 year old son at the same time. Looking forward to a quiet day on the lake is what gets me through it. I am an extrovert, but i have to be social for work, so all of my hobbies are solo hobbies. Fishing (of course), motorcycle riding, dirt bike trail riding, mountain biking, hiking, reading.

I have OCD, which I would not not wish on my worst enemy. It is like being tortured from the inside. I have spent hundreds of hours meditating trying to create the silence of mind I get while sitting on the water watching the trees blow. There is a lesson in they way those trees move. They don't fight the wind. They move with it and then go right back to their natural state.

I haven't even wet a line yet this year. My brother and I got the boat ready yesterday and we hope to use it sometime this week. We are under a stay at home order but our Gov says fishing is a life substanable act as long as you use the CDC guidelines so we are not restricted from fishing. I don't want to get sick and my brother is a cancer survivor and I understand that this stuff is deadly on cancer survivors so that puts him in the high risk category. I just prey this nightmare ends soon.

I love being out there on the lake or lakes. I do most of my fishing alone. If someone wants to tagged along that is alright but way the Virus all around a person better off to fish by their self. One thing I hate is some one goes with you and the conditions not right or fish not biting as good as they should, the person with you all they do is complain that kill's me. I know if the conditions is bad or fish not biting like they should be don't need some body keep reminding me.

It’s causing more stress for mess because all the knuckle heads that’s on the water with all the pleasure craft maybe this cold snap will keep them at home ! Guys don’t let this get you down ! This too shall pass !! do your part on social distances and practice good hygiene ! Take a break from all the bad news ! Go fishing when you can cause it’s good fer ya!

I’ve seen some fisherman shaming going on. I live at home alone and work in a 30 person office that now has only 3 of us going in daily and the rest working from home. My job calls for me to deal with decisions related to the virus all day every day. Saturday I went alone to one of the big 4. I’ve never not had a partner in the boat. It provided a tremendous stress relief just being out there alone and putting my brain in neutral. I didn’t catch many but I accomplished what I wanted to. I stopped at a bait shop and sanitized before I went in and when I came out. Otherwise I interacted with no one. Had I stayed home I’d have probably gone and gotten some beer, some to-go food and probably to the grocery. What tipped the scales for me was even the State of New York said fishing was a great way to social distance. I believe we need to all do our part but I don’t think it’s any safer from the virus in my recliner than it is alone in my boat. Sorry for long post but I gave this a lot of thought last Friday when trying to decide what to do Saturday. Everybody stay safe and let’s get through this.

I haven’t been out all year... waited all winter new fish finders and livescope installed over winter just waiting for spring. The last two years wasn’t able to get out much at all because of some health issues so this year was pumped about getting out. Thought I would check out small lake near me last Thursday. Oh no not a chance mind you this is a 200 acre lake. dbowling you are right parking lot was worse than any weekend no room for another boat and trailer parking lot full cars with trailers, parked on the sides of the road never seen it so crowded. The ramp is small barely room for two boats to launch at one time. I headed home!

The pandemic isn’t hurting my desires, but the jet skis and wake boats are!
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
