Crappie.com iPhone App Notifications

Anyone else having problems with notifications not working on the iPhone app?

For me it has gotten progressively worse over the past 4-6 months.

I’ve tried clearing my cache, deleting and reinstalling the app, unsubscribing from all of the forums, unfollowing various posts etc.

I installed Tapatalk first and all my notifications come thru it. I installed the C.c app later on, and have not had any notifications come thru via it. Though, if I remember correctly, I never asked either app to send notifications. But, the only ones I get are notifications about someone sending me a PM or quoting my comments in their reply. Then again, I don't conduct my C.c business on my phone, but on my computer.

Do you have a Tapatalk contact you can reach (since the Crappie.com app is an extension of theirs)

I know that there are/were tons of notification issues reported (Via search of the interwebs)

I'll check, but from previous experience I've found that Tapatalk has terrible support. Also, you're talking about the smart phone app "Push Notifications", not email notifications, correct? The notifications from all my apps are sporadic at best. I'm supposed to get a push notifications from Amazon every time someone places an order for Slabsauce. I get maybe one in ten or even one in 20. It's always been that way. But having said that, on an occasional day, I get notified each time correctly. It's just not reliable imho for any apps.

Here's one I found on one of the support forums so far. Still looking though, but tapatalk support is poor at best.

"Well I think the absolute 100% silence in here from the developers speaks volumes. Clearly it’s not going to be fixed, clearly the product is not fit for purpose, clearly the developers don’t give a dang. A real shame, this product used to be good."

One thing I will do is update the tapatalk plugin so that it's current. I'll let y'all know when I can get it done. It does look like they have an update since that user complained above. But push notifications are never real reliable, hopefully with a plugin update it'll get better. we will see.

Just checked, we are CURRENT with the Tapatalk Plugin here on Crappie.com. Back to drawing board.

My notifications have stopped working the last week or two also... it did this one time last year too... started working again after a while, hopefully it will again this time.
