Rain gear

Has anybody used Acme rain suits? Not expensive stuff. About $50 for jacket and pants. I don't use it as often as most of you but I like it available when needed. I have used Frogg Togg. They don't seem to have any quality.

I would avoid the Acme brand if it is still made by the Wiley Coyote Co.

I've got some old rain jackets that need upgrading, so I have been looking for some time (this time) for a full set of rain gear, (light jacket and pants) but learned early in the shopping process that no matter where you look... they are quite proud of almost any brand named decent rain gear--as it seems to cost $200 and up. All I really need is something to throw on for sudden showers on the lake, because I'm simply not going to sit out there in the rain for too long anyway. But, because of my "hot blooded" nature... I can't wear any type of cheap plastic rain gear that is not somewhat breathable... as most of it makes me feel like I'm wrapped in plastic, sweating and suffocating--I cannot wear it.

Look at Columbia jackets with Omnitech. You can not get any better and much less expensive than GoreTex.
