Good Job, you two !!
Went to Grayson lake in carter county ky (my home lake) on Saturday and turns out the crappie are FINALLY in shallow water! Caught too many to count between me and the fiancée. Biggest were around 10-11 inches. Also caught a variety of bluegill, and bass. And one surprise fish. A 6 pound, 24inch hybrid bass! Was pitching minnow under a bobber around a stump with my bgjp and bobber just disappeared and pole bent in half as it went under the boat. Saturday was a wonderful day!
As good as Saturday was, Sunday was that much worse! 20 mph wind, had to poo as soon as I got on the lake and had to make a mad dash to the bushes. Only found one fish, a bass. Wind made sitting on a brush pile impossible. Tried long lining, but even with the motor off, the wind was pushing me at almost 2mph. Lost one marker booey cause it didn’t unravel when I threw it out. And then had a bigger booey get stolen by a kayaker. I was about 100 yards away. Saw him pick it up and put it in his kayak. when I fired up the big motor and caught up to him, I confronted him about it. He deneyed taking it and was very aggressive about it. I just let it go. Not worth the fight for a cheap booey.
Then as I was on my way back to the ramp, in the no wake zone, the wind kicked up and blew my hat off. I tried to circle around and find it but it had already sank. I normally wouldn’t care... BUT IT WAS MY CRAPPIE.COM HAT! MY FAVORITE HAT! It was just the cherry on top of a poo sunday of a day...
But it still beats being stuck at home. Lucky to get out on the lake and actually find fish.
