Welcome home Vet's. That is far over due, and can not be said enough in my opinion.
I grew up a Marine brat, even born in a hospital on a Marine Base. Dad had 5 Tours in Nam starting back in 1963. I don't know what his job title was other than a Radio Repairman. Every time he came home it was rough around the house, and all us kids got knocked across the room more than once trying to wake dad up and forgetting to call his name out loud before touching him. Just a self preservation reaction on his part.
He retired in 1970 at El Toro MCAB,with 32 yrs of service , GYSGT Richard "Pappy" Pierce. We lost him 10 yrs later to cancer, RIP. So I say WELCOME HOME to every Veteran I see wearing a ball cap with a reference to NAM.
Didn't mean to hi-jack the thread "G", Just felt the need to put this out there...
