1st trip this year

Rain was supposed to stop between 7am and 11am so we wanted to have a quickie.

1) as soon as I hooked boat up it started pouring. wipers couldn't go fast enough.
2) half of the length of zipper on rain jacket came apart. jacket trashed
3) treble hooks caught in rain pants and had to cut it out. pants trashed
4) the only casting rod I brought caught some heavy wind and lost half spool of line. had to put it away, not enough line.
5) got stuck pulling boat up the homemade ramp. laid in the mud to hook tow strap to 4x4 to get unstuck. mid-weight fishing jacket full of mud. trashed that jacket too.

But hey, my new never used Southern Crappie pole worked great and did not get broken. Now I wonder how it will feel with a fish on the end.

I have been there. We just keep on taking the abuse to go fishing as we just have to feel that thump. Sorry for you having all the problems just too relax.

I don't feel so bad today . Caught a few fish but got soaked and phone got waterlogged !

been on a trip or 3 like that before . anything that could go wrong did . hope next trip goes better for sure .
