That to me is the smartest move. Hate to suggest taking advantage of someone else’s misfortune but with what’s going on right now in the next couple of months there going to be lots of toys out there for cheap.

Now you’ve got it figured out, IMO. My current boat was $7900, and I’ve been more than happy!

Just my 2 cents, I think it is a great idea to wait and look for a killer deal. In the meantime, are there any marinas near you that rent boats for the day? Perhaps you could choose one great weather day and do that, just to tide you over?

Go to Utube and search for Crappie Master. He has his little Pelican style boat really setup nicely, and fishes some big and some small water with it.

Best time to buy a boat is when the type and brand you prefer comes along at a good price you can afford.
Otherwise it usually ends up coulda shoulda.

I can still fish for crappie from the Pelican. It's been set up as a crappie boat for years. I use it more than than the big boat this time of year. I will never get rid of it because it gives me easy access to the water. Finding a Lund boat in Texas is pretty rare. I live in the land of Skeeters, Champions, Rangers etc since bass fishing is huge here. You seldom see trolling , longlining , spider rigging etc. here. One pole jigging is dominant method. I'm only regretting not being able to fish Fork or Lake of the Pines. Both have been putting out 2 lbers on the regular.
