    Default Countour lines ?

For all that fish pre- spawn, spawning and post- spawn crappie. On large reservoirs (lakes) . I'm new to fishing spawning crappie in large lakes. When water temps. get 60-65° do you look for tight countour lines next to the bank ( quick drop off) or
Spread out lines. ( flats) next to drop offs ?
This is new to me, I've always fished small water.
    Thinks for any advice.

Spread out lines next to deep water is my favorite. They can feed on the flats and escape to deep water if alarmed. jmo

Depends on what is on the flat for feeding purposes weedy muddy bottoms for spawning more sandy medium soft bottom, not mucky as this will smother eggs to hard and they cannot fan out a nest.
