I wouldn’t worry about using a slip float and messing with a mono knot even though I’m sure that will work. Just use those foam finesse floats and braid and that will be fine. Unless your fishing real deep.

I use 20# braid all the time. I don't have a problem with the slip stop slipping on the braid but it could be the ones I use. If you are using a light jig with a light float on braid you will sometimes have problems with tangles at the spool. I buy my braid directly from China, 2000 meters for under $30. Takes several weeks to receive it but is worth the wait.

Have you tried a bead with the braid looped through the bead a couple of times?

It all depends on the size of the bead.
Or the size of the guide.
I remember using some plastic tab like things and I would pass the braid through them a couple of times. Or you could also wrap the braid around them.
Although I never shop at Dicks. Here they are.

Yeah, there a guy on youtube that uses those, he likes them a lot.I like the simple mono knot because it grips great, and it's miniscule, so you don't feel it going through the line guides.

I tie my own bobber stops when using mono. But, with braid, I use the plastic tabs. Stop won't slip. But, tab doesn't slip through guides as smoth as mono.

The mono stop knot I use for braid grips so tight that I have use saliva to cool it down from friction when making large depth adjustments.
