    Default Loose Seat Pedestal

I have a 3/4 pin style seat pedestal in the front of my boat, but the seat is wobbly.

Its almost like there is to much play where the pin goes into the bracket on the boat. Does anyone have any recommendations to fix this. I need to get these a little more sturdy before it warms up here.

Order a replacement bushing for the base from à Grizzly jig....they have both kinds the bronze and the nylon. Get one like yours has.

If you have access to the bottom of the bolts holding your seat base, your best bet may be to just replace the base. I don't know of an insert to replace the plastic part the pin goes into.

Here's what I've done on both of mine that were wobbly. Worked well. If it's the black nylon type! Use a 3/4 spade type drill bit and drill the old one out, it's thick enough not to damage base. Order replacement from Grizzly. Be sure it's the black nylon and not the white one. The white one fits the top of pedestal and will not work.
