    Default Electric Anchor Winches

I tried search function but could not find what I was looking for. I have a 2002 Javelin 17 Venom bass boat and would really like to have an electric anchor winch on the front but with the layout and room I have i'm not sure how to mount it. I have seen some mounted on side, back by the console but i dont think that would hold my boat very well. Do any of you have guys have anchor winches on a bass boat or ideas on how i could mount it out of the way but still have the anchor drop from the nose of the boat? Any help or input would be appreciated.

I had one on another boat I used to have....traded for another boat and put a MK Terrova trolling motor on it so I dont need a anchor....I use spot lock on the TM.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

This was my original plan but after fishing in my buddy's boat with an Ultrex (new model) I am not impressed with the spot lock. I mostly vertical jig and am currently anchoring my boat was just looking for someway to make it more effecient and easier on me.
    Thanks for the replys

I have a 17' aluminum deep v fishing boat. I purchased the Trac Outdoors electric anchor winch. I put a 24" piece of aluminum extrusion to my engine mount because my pontoon's lack of deck space in the back prevented me from installing this. My 25-pound anchor is easily removed from the murky bottom of our lake by the unit. It occasionally pops up with a significant load. I'm currently using the unit's switch with my toes, but I'm thinking of switching to an auxiliary switch. over the previous week, I ran it up and down over fifty times. no issues or worries.

Currently, I don't have a picture, but you can read more about this electric anchor winch.
