First Catches

Had about 20 minutes to fish before dark tonight. Made the first catches with my new Diawa Presso rod. Good fun!

I'll check tomorrow. A nearby but much larger lake was 51 this past weekend.

I'm a fan now. It's as light as a feather, sensitive but has enough backbone to land bass (caught one this morning). For the purists out there, don't worry, I have a Diawa Legalis coming that will be paired with this rod. ;-)

Tell you the truth, so have I. However, I'm a big fan of the #20 President series. I have 5 of them now and have been using them for over 1/2 doz. seasons now. Very reliable and trouble free. Good pricing too. So, when I get my Presso, that's what it will have on it. JMO!

I find him entertaining and informative. Another good one is Tackle Advisors, kinda like the AvE of reels (although AvE's language may not be for everyone).
