I’ve been using the Presso ultra lights exclusively since 2017 and I’m a big fan. They are very light and sensitive while having enough backbone for me to land catfish up to 11lbs with an 8 foot UL.

Nice fish and a very nice rod. Good luck with it. Never heard anything bad about it. I have several UL rods though none are JDM stuff. I’ve bought a couple of spoons of JDM line that has really gotten my attention and worked very well for me on fish over their rating. I too am a president fan and all of my UL rods have one strapped to it. It’s a good day when I get out and the little rods start workin em over.

I'm upgrading from a couple of UL Ugly Stiks. I've caught a ton of fish over the years with them including my PB bass (8.2 pounds). But they will be gathering dust in the future. I'll be comparing the Presso, a Okuma Celilo and a Shakespeare Micro Series in the coming months. Should be fun.

One of my first rods I bought was a daiwa presso 6ft. Caught many fish with it. Enjoy!

Gets even better when you go down the JDM rods road :D

Well, the Presso got a good work out the last two days with 30 fish pulled in during two late-afternoon sessions from the bank. An assortment of good-sized Bluegill, Shellcracker, and some small Bass where caught off a float. Many were pulled in from 70-80 feet from the shore, so there were some good long fights. All this was topped off when a 4.5 pound Largemouth decided he wanted the jig. That was a fight! But the Presso never felt overpowered.
