    Default Thoughts?

I know this will probably sound odd to a lot of you hard core Crappie guys, but I like a 6'8"-7' ML rod with XFast action rated for 1/16thoz- 5/16thoz baits for tackling crappie. The places I fish i am likely to catch anything from a 20lb Buffalo down to a 2oz Bass. I like that style of rod as it has enough backbone and sensitive tip.

I had previously used a G Loomis Mossyback BSR 801 that was perfectly matched for what I did. I broke it and that rod is no longer offered by Loomis.

So can someone point me in the direction of someone that would make something similar to that?

Have you looked at the ESP 6'6" or 7' PowerLite ( Power Lite rods – Norsemen Outdoors )

They have a very fast action tip, micro guides/tip, Graphite Tenn style handle w/reel holding rings, blank thru handle with metallic disks around the blank & in contact with the handle for greater vibration sensitivity.

The Norsemen Outdoors link above is for ease of viewing the rod & its features ... Grizzly Jigs has a lower price (about $10 lower) Grizzly Jig Company - ESP Series
