Default Ht Crappie Pro Trolling Rod

Has anyone tried the Ht Crappie pro trolling rod in the 14 ft model or know anything about them. Saw them today on the Grizzly Jig website. Curious about the action and the tip. I like a soft tip and there was no description about the pole on their website. Thanks

Friend of mine fished the Jimmy Houston model of that same rod for years and was quite happy with them. Talked to Lance at grizzly one time about them and was told they were one of their better poles that don’t get any press.

I think that’s what I have. They really bend down with a 1/2 oz weight

I talked to Grizzly Jig about these poles today it's actually called the crappie commander pro troller. They said it doesn't have quite as soft a tip as the B n M Capps and coleman but handles up to 1/2 ounce weights well. What I liked most was they come in 2 pc in the 14 ft version instead of 3 pc like most 14 ft rods. The price is considerably cheaper but the downside is the shipping is a lot higher because of the 2 pc rod so have to order at least 3 to stay ahead of the shipping. I will give them a try.

Yep that’s the ones I have. If I spider rigged more I’d probably replace them. They work but the tips are a bit too limber to me. I really wanted to get a set of the Denali rods during the show but I only spider rig a handful of times a year and my HTs are only a year old.
