    Congrats to the young man. That kid did in one trip what thousands of crappie fisherman worldwide have been trying to accomplish all of their fishing lives.

    I just checked. Maine record is 3 pounds 9.76 ounces.

    So, if stats above are correct, he beat state record by almost 2 pounds.

    Congratulations to that young man! He will never forget that! I wished he could have weighed it. Could be a State or Would record to beat "Jam" in Tennessee!

    Thanks for sharing that bee. Unfortunately here in Maine most people don't understand what they have caught when they reel in a beauty of a Crappie. I am not implying anything about this young gentleman in particular. Congrats to him though. Good for him for releasing it also. Maybe you will be the next one to catch it. Not sure where it is but if I fish there it would be awesome to hook into it.
