    Default Drift Sock Help

When using a drift sock is it necessary to use a drift sock harness, or can I just use a rope?Name: 987.png

Made my own. Short length of line with caribeaner and a section of pool noodle taped on it. You do want a float somewhere close to it in case you have to release it in a hurry. That way you can go back and retrieve it. They will sink quick.

I agree with Cray, you most definitely want a float of some kind in between sock & boat. If by chance the rope breaks or something else unusual happens, you can still get your sock back. And it facilitates retrieval.
