I don't think you will find a lighter 11' or 12' rear seat than the Buck's Best Ultra Lite from B'n'M. Pair one of those with the Buck's Best Ultra Lite Reel and that's about as light as you will get.

I have an 11' ACC crappie stix JIGGING rod mid seat that I really like. It's lightweight at 5.6 oz., very sensitive (much more than my Sam Super sensitive) and has plenty of back bone for slinging the big'uns into the boat. Plus it's green with Winn grips, which makes it comfortable to hold and looks cool. ACC makes a rear seat version.

Can't help ya on the longer rods but I have 3 9' Capps and Coleman wading rods that I LOVE !! Rear seat with a cheap fly reel. Perfect balance and light as a feather.

Bnm 12 ft (BBULBS12) rear reel bottom seat with a little crappie reel is the ticket for me, especially in the spring for reaching up in the brush.

I was going to ask a question about why most makers of Crappie rods do not advertise the weight of there rods. Most all other manufactures post there weight even there cheap end rods.

I’ve been using the Berkley Crappie C series rods the past few years.
It’s not a rear seat rod but I use electrical tape to secure an ultra light inline reel to the back of the rod.
This is a true all day fishing setup.
Only problem is the 12 ft models are hard to find. I just ordered 2 more from Grizzly jigs eBay store.
Also these are less than 1/2 the price of most other rods.
