    Default Rod holder question

I知 about to set my new boat up for spider rigging and I知 not finding rod holders that really suit me. It would be ideal to have 1 that holds 6 poles and is fully adjustable even the height. Or 2nd choice is to get 2 that each hold 3 rods but also fully adjustable, flush floor anchor plate too. Any suggestions? Thanks

    Default Rod holder question

For north and south adjustments you almost have to go with Spyderloks. I had a HiTek bar custom built to run 6 rods and it was almost too much on a single T bar. Noticed a lot of shake. I switched off that to Elite single stems and will never ever go back to a T bar.

Thanks gentlemen, I built the rod holders on my old boat and I didn稚 like how wobbly the front one was. No doubt I could build a rock solid rod holder but with no equipment to weld aluminum and steel be too heavy I致e gotta buy some.

I'm pretty sure Perotti built a T bar that was made with 6 rod holders, but not sure about any up and down adjustment or if it's still available.

Several others and myself prefer the Hi-Tek extreme model. Never had an issue or lost a rod with any of mine, and he is also a member sponsor. The owner and his Dad are the business and their customer service has always been top notch. Give them a look before you pull the trigger. I’ve had mine over ten years and chose these after fishing with most of the others.

I have spyder locks and I love em. They are easy to take on and off. The mount plate doesnt get in the way. You can also break them down and put in your rod locker if you want.

Hi-Tek are a little cheaper but requires a wrench to adjust and there's no height adjustment.

Spyder lock are "no tools necessary" for angle adjustment and have 3 height adjustments. They are fairly heavy compared to Hi-Tek. And the design on the height adjustment causes a little wobble.

Best option is to contact either
Hi-Tek or Millennium Gene on here for customer service. Both are square guys.

I had and sold my Hi-Tek with my other boat and purchased Spyder lock for my present boat. I have no opinion on "better" of the two. When I purchase again it will be individual holders.
