I saw one of his original Ranger boats in the late 60s when they were still set up for transom trolling motors. We envied the features of the boat but had to wonder if it took such a fancy boat to catch a fish. That boat was green and white with Captain’s chair seats. No glitter boat then.

Today with Nina, his wife of 68 years and other family members by his side Forrest L Wood passed away. He was a long time friend of so many of us in the fishing world and will be sadly missed by us all. Prayers for Miss Nina and the family.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
