Default What a difference a day makes

I had my teeth kicked in Saturday on LOP. The wind was gusting to 30 miles an hour out of the North West. We couldn't find many fish and what fish we did find were spooked by the boat slapping the water in the big waves. We fought it all morning only to have my boat come down right on top of a stump and smash my new Ulterra breaking the lift belt. I got home that evening and laid in the floor for an hour licking my wounds with full intentions of canceling my Sunday trip. The rip tide I broke the shaft in last month, is still out being repaired. After my piety party was over, I went out and figure out a way to rig the belt so the motor would work and we hit the lake early Sunday morning.

Totally different lake. The wind was still blowing pretty good at times but it was enough North East that it didn't cause 4 foot waves. The sun was bright and the crappie had moved back into the bodark trees.
They caught a really nice mess of fish on jigs once they figured out the bite on jigs in 30ish foot of water with several fish over 2 pounds.

Always fun chasing these fish even when the conditions aren't just right..... And when it all comes together you're usually on some really nice fish..... Hope I don't ever run into issues with that belt..... Nice Catches..

My compliments for hunkering down and getting things done so you could fish on. No one ever said fishing would be easy. Good Job Mister!!
