The trick to keeping Crappie Nibbles on the hook is to let them dry out a little prior to using them. In any event, Bluegills are notorious for snatching a Nibble off the hook.
I use Slab Sauce and crappie nibbles, the last Nibbles, I bought are to soft to throw. I am sure Berkerly had them softened up, to sell more. Whatever! Has anyone tried the new Slab bites. They claim they are thicker and stay on longer, but will crappie like them?? Thanks

No they don’t. If you have an extra bottle, pour half of the new bottle in it to give them some airspace to dry out a little. I do this every time I have an empty bottle. They dry out quicker. Shake them so they aren’t clumped together and you’ll have firmer nibbles every trip out.
I use nibbles a lot, and even spread some out out of the bottle, and they still get bit.

Be a big gambler and invest $2.99 in a bottle and give them a try.
