    Default Great day on lake

Went this morning to one of our local lakes with my buddy and his wife. It’s tough but you can get them to bite. Hit a couple of our normal spots and first fish I catch is a nice 1 lb 15 oz crappie.

then we decide to move and I tell them I’m going to a lay down I know and bet I can catch one there. Yup catch another average crappie and work my way down the tree when suddenly a nice solid hook set. This is big and it’s pulling my native titan around...whoa! After what seems like a long fight I finally get to see what’s on the end of the line. A very nice bass. Smiling like a kid I weigh and take some pics before putting on a stringer to go show my buddy and his wife.

after showing that beautiful fish to them I let my buddy’s wife release it. What a rush!

i had the hawg trough cut down to 20” figuring I wouldn’t need it any longer and for space issues. I’m still happy having it cut down as I don’t see this happening to often....

just bought the kayak so it’s not changing.

Sounds like fun. I know first hand what fun those big greenies are on light tackle.
Thanks for sharing your day and the pics with the rest of us.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
