The amount of time I put in scanning and testing spots is not shown in these vids.... The upcoming series I'll show what I look for and how frustrating it can be..... New lake 1st time I was ever on it and it took marking and dropping a jig on around 30 piles before success....
Just don't give up.....

I’m definitely looking forward to seeing that. The struggle is real....lol.

I am not on SK's level yet, but I have picked up some good habits emulating aspects of his style - like using electronics to be sure there are even any dang fish to catch down there before dropping a jig. I am catching more fish by studying his videos, and I guess that's a real complement. One request: I know the color follows no pattern, and you hate to dwell on it, but I still want to know A) what color you were using and B) how clear/stained the water was, or at least a little of your thought process when it comes to color selection, at least what you tie on FIRST. K thanks.

My home lake is a deep hill-land type res, compare to the flatland res like in his vids, with (most times) clear water, little timber in the crappie's range, area wise. I have to shoot docks or hunt far and wide for brush (and sink my own, keep it on the q.t.) Enjoy the hunt - could not agree more.

We disagree completely on the worth of Livescope, though, but I'm an engineer and love my gadgets.

Ouch, oouch, oooooch, ok okay enough twisting my arm on colors The reason I don't like talkn colors is because I'm not faithful to a color but I'll give that some thought on how I can present it without giving false hope.....
Back when the fish slime was all the scent that was needed, a guy seen and heard me talkn about that, after it wasn't working anymore and I changed to the gsauce and nibbled he questioned me on why I wasn't doing it anymore.....
My line of thought on color is use what worked my previous trip, use a color that somewhat match the water color and then go the opposite of the water color or a color that really stands out.....
You say clear water? Is it gin clear, green clear, black clear or brown clear.....

Green clear water, I guess you call it. Right now it is rather muddy from all the rain lately. Up river it is so muddy, I thought I saw deer tracks on the water.

Sorry to hear it ruined the vid for you, I'm always observant that no fish float that do happen to be bleeding and returned to the water.... Also know I'm not rich enough to be able to afford the ticket and restitution charged for keeping undersized fish..... There law here is a crappie has to be 10 inches and yes I follow the law to the T... There law here also says even if the undersized fish is going to die or dead it has to be returned to the water......
