    Default East Texas river crappie

My brother and I went up the river this afternoon, we heard the crappie were feeding up, and they were.

We looked for brush piles and lay downs on the river channel and found quite a few, but not all of them were holding crappie.
We were using jigs and plastics, I used monkey milk on a 1/16 oz head in the shad style bait and he used an off white swim bait style with blue on the back, a real light blue.
We caught 24 between us and they were big, thick and fat.

This was the biggest I caught. It was just a tad over 14 inches and weighed 1.9 pounds.
I brought home 10 for my share.

We had a great time and I learned a few things about my side imaging today, so it was educational also.
This guy was fishing up the river today also.

Well, that’s it, just a great day with my brother and caught a lot of fish.
    Here is a parting shot.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
