    Default Drain plug help?

I bought a plug online and wish I had measured first . The one I bought was advertised as a 1 inch . See picture , it is the one on the right . Does it look like I need a 3/4 inch ? ( pictured on left )

I can’t seem to find one smaller that 1 inch diameter ..

    Suggestions of online source?

    Thanks !

It will get a little smaller if you let out on the screw

Just hold the rubber part and twist the handle counter clockwise

Have you considered maybe trying to insert each plug and see which one fits.

Screw that handle all the way out and then stick it in the drain tube. When you tighten it back down the rubber plug expands, sealing the tube. You received it tightened all the way down it appears.

Would I be making a mistake if I inserted the drain plug from outside of the boat as opposed to in?

It will go either way .... But you have to adjust it like we are telling you....once you get t h e size adjusted stick it in and fold the lever down....if it does not feel tight then adjust it on that screw one turn at a time untill it fits tight when in the locked position.

It is done outside most of the time in MN. It is against the law to trailer a boat with the plug in.

First time I ever head of that law. But then I've encountered rains so hard I was wishing it wasn't in.

As far as plug on the inside or outside of the boat, I'd look at where I fish to make that decision. I've seen guys on Reelfoot and Grenada knock the plug out going over a stump with it on the outside.
