Do you think it will be over kill for around here on the warmer days .? I had Rather layer up on the real cold days and use something more suitable for 50-60° days than have to run the ac on the way to da ramp? Normally don’t get to go on the real cold days because of work and the precious people that wait until it’s been cold for 3-4 days to decide to get some fuel lol !

That's the beauty of layering. If it's 50, then jeans, turtleneck, fleece hoodie, and done. If 60 or more, you really don't need winter clothes, just a warm jacket.

It will be overkill for spring and fall but I don't think it will be overkill at any time during the winter since the water temps are cold and the wind off the water always chills me to the bone. I duck hunted for 10 years pretty hot and heavy. I still own the clothes I did that in. Those heavy parkas that I wore don't keep me warm when running the big motor.

They do make a "Lite" suit with only one layer of Insultex that would be perfect for you guy that want to layer up. I don't like more than 3 layers, because it gets too bulky for my tastes. The air temp got up in the upper 50's the other day when I fished and I didn't get hot. I don't get too cold fishing, I get cold getting to where I'm fishing. Not any more.

Mitch, weren't you with me the day last year or year before that we went Sauger fishing below the dam....? I think it was you, but it could have been Brock or Jason. IIRC it was 20-22 degrees at the boat ramp that morning. With this suit I wouldn't have been cold a bit that day.

Other than keeping me warm, this may be the biggest reason I bought it. I'm gonna fall out of my boat, it's just a matter of when. Skip to the one minute mark:

The place I ordered mine from tryed talk me into getting the light ones....I and sure glad I did not get them. I do not layer under mine. If I get hot i just unzip the coat or take the coat off. And some days i never put the bibs on....but i have them with me just in case. I like them.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

G I asked the guy where I ordered mine about the lighter suit. I’m glad I got the heavier one. Like you when it’s warmer, I’ll just wear the jacket only.

I may have get me some Arctic Armor. I hate getting bulked up. The black and gold, of course.
