Default Held off as long as I could stand.....

I’m the guy who sets back and studies the latest/greatest technology and let everybody else work the bugs out.

I’m a Humminbird-till-I-die guy. I don’t need 10,000 bells and whistles. I want it simple to operate and reliable. I want to turn it on and go fishing.

After a season of fishing 3 crappie tournament trails and being happy with our success, I found out that to have any chance of competing, I had to get a Garmin Livescope. When Humminbird gets a similar technology, I’ll be all over it. The new Mega 360 is going to be a game-changer much like Side Scan was. I have mine lined up as soon as they release them. Until then, I had to bite the bullet.

With Rickie’s help, his Podunk Ideas daDucer bracket, Cornfield Crappie Gear’s double mount, and a lot of hard work, I’ll soon join the ranks. Watch out!! Finished pics to follow. Name: IMG_0340.jpg

I love my HB too....I bought a garmin 93sv the other day and will also bite the bullet for livescope....
Unless HB new mega 360 is all that, I still cant see it competing.. Sidescan is great so unless the 360 has a 200ft range /diameter or better.. can't see it being all that great

Make sure you use good wire and have lots of battery. You will not regret

I think that there should be new rule implemented. Those with Live Scope must display a special flag. Then...
those of us who don't have it will know which boats to follow. What do ya think? Held off as long as I could stand.....

I love my Birds but I love my Livescope even more! Together they made a deadly combination for me. Humminbird to find them, Livescope to fish them. Looking forward to seeing what you think. The Echomap Ultra with that 12" screen is really nice. Simple to operate as well. Will be interesting to hear what you think of the new HB Mega 360 as compared to the Garmin Livescope.

I think it will be like a lot of the modern electronics. Garmin will be better at some tasks while HB will be better at others. The only, but expensive, way to know is to have both on board.

I am looking forward to the inevitable comparisons from those who have both. My question is are they going to interfere with each other. Time will tell.

It’s amazing how we ever caught a fish without this thing.
