Default A tale of a twin tail

I rolled up to my favorite little lake to ketch crappie off the bank the other morning and I have to tell you it was a real nice visit . Not a soul there and quiet and not terribly cold with some nice sunshine and I even got to pull my hood back on the old jacket after a bit to enjoy the sun .
I measured out around 10 plus a bit feet of line and dropped a jig . It settled and I waited a few seconds real still and nothing occurred . I moved said presentation a little to right REALLY slowly and with a ever so SLIGHT rise to it and …..
    KABOOM first drop !
Man do I love a start like that ,although it is often a bad omen for me and after said fish hit my hand I forgot exactly what I did to get that kind of bite and in crappie ketchn it often makes a big difference to replicate said actions to repeat said outcome .
So there I was struggling some for about 10 minutes or more and I said wait mister to myself . Do what you did the first time silly boy ! So I put it down and did a similar version of the first drop and sure enough KABOOM again !
I did this a few times until I had to go off to work and photo counter says 18 fish . I had 2 that would be short of 10 inches for sure with most of the ketch being 11 to 12 or maybe a tad bigger .
I used a twin tail bait in a color called fish eggs and to be sure they liked that big old gaudy thing .
Hope you have a great day and for sure KABOOM is the word

KABOOM is right. Nice job as always Ketchn. Your right, that is a gaudy bait, but whatever works and the fish like!

Now that is a fancy bright bait! Prolly would have scared our fish right off the brush (smile) but you know how to use it right.

Great job! And one gosh awful color combo! But whatever it takes, right.
