    Default Trashed

I haven't been going to the creek much this year as I just never could find crappie in there . They should have been there long ago ,but I never found any . Well a bud said someone told him they were in there so I got a little excited and went down there to see for myself .
Sure enough the signs were there , the place is trashed up to beat the band with piles of beer cans and minnow bags and chip bags and empty tackle bags and the list goes on . Floats stuck in every tree and its obvious Christmas in on its way with all the adornments .
Mind you I hear the fish been in there a few , but I been busy hitting other spots and not really trying there much . One bud told me there were so many trucks parked along the road over the thanksgiving holiday it was unreal .
So to be sure Monday after its over and quiets down some the fish are for sure beat up and scared and that's about what I found .
I didn't photo the trash as it really got under my skin and I had no way to pick it up and carry it out or I would have for sure .
The same schmucks that do this kind of thing are the ones that will cry the loudest when they put up a heavy fence and don't let folks go in there anymore .
Anyway I did find a few smaller black crappie and a few other small fish , but as disheartening as it was to visit I am not sure if I will be down there on a regular basis this year .
If you read this and you are one of those people that did the deed you ought to go back with a bucket and pick that stuff up
I might even go back just to pick up trash like I did a couple years ago ….man humans are bad wildlife
fish were tight to brush and in real shallow water , I had my float set about 18 inches and if it wasn't close to brush within a foot or so it was wasting time .
pearl seemed to be best and the water was so clarity wise .
sorry for the rant and have a great day

Yup littering always angers me as well. That's all I will say as I might get myself in trouble.

+1 for me as well. The beginning of trout season at put and take bank spots are the worst. There are some incredible slob fishermen out there - hate to even call them fishermen. That’s another reason I like to wade fish way up my favorite stream. Slob fishers are by and large very lazy and seldom walk up 1/4 to 1/2 mile to get to the better water. Peaceful and quieter as well. ‘Nuff said. If you carry it in, please carry it out!

I always carry out what I carry in. What is so hard about that? I just don't get it. Good job of the crappie btw.

Yep it’s a shame, people don’t care. But if I see it happening, I’m gonna call em out on it. Have had many fuss and cuss at me but 95% of the time they’ll pick it up.

It is a shame for that to happen to a spot. They did a trash pickup contest on here a few years ago. I cleaned up a lot of trash from those areas I fished just to see it right back again in a few days

I can't stand people that litter. I know how you feel seeing all the trash that people have left outdoors because they're lazy and stupid. This time of year I see hundreds of empty deer corn bags along the road. Don't these idiots know they'll blow out of the back of a truck if left loose. I have nothing against hunting, I used to hunt too years ago.
